1804 (Four Heatons) Squadron
TEAM PROFILES
Officer Commanding.
Flight Lieutenant Shaun A White RGN RAFVR(T)
Flt Lt White was born in Stockport and first joined the Squadron as a 13 year old in 1981. After high school he spent a year working as a lab assistant before joining the RAF as an air radar technician. Having found himself to be completely lacking an interest in air radar he retrained as an RGN, qualifying in 1990. Re-mustered to the PMRAFNS for the first gulf war in 1991, he ended up serving in sunny Lincolnshire and decided to pursue his career as a civilian instead. He re-joined the Squadron as a civilian instructor and stayed until a move to Scotland in 1992 where he continued his service with 287 (4th Edinburgh), 2463 (Currie & Balerno) and 869 (Penicuik) Squadrons. On moving back to the North West with his company in 2002 he came back to 1804 Sqn as a C.I until July 2003 when he was Commissioned in to the RAFVR(T). Flt Lt White was appointed OC of 1804 in January 2007 after additional service with 184 (South Manchester) and 55 (Woodford & Bramhall) Squadrons.
